LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James, he's widely thought of as the best player of all-time and often is compared with Michael Jordan during debates about the greatest basketball player of all time. James has won four NBA Championships as well as Four NBA MVP Awards and four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He is also the proud owner of 2 Olympic Gold medals. James has scored the second most career goals and seventh-highest assists. He has been selected as an NBA All Star 18 times. James is part of the NBA All-Stars and 18 All-NBA Teams, and five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. As a total, James has been a part of 10 NBA Finals, the third-most ever. It was eight in a row from 2011 to 2018. James was selected to join the NBA75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022 he became first NBA player ever to score 10,000 or higher career points. James played at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron Ohio. The national media celebrated James as an NBA star. He was in the process of becoming a professional and was selected as the highest selection from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. Being the NBA rookie player in 2004, he established himself quickly as one of the most elite athletes in the league, winning the NBA MVP awards for the years 2009 and 2010. James failed to win an award in Cleveland and departed the city with the status of an "free agent" in the year 2010. This decision was made during the television special The Decision.
